Texas Rangers game and Father's Day!

We went to our first Rangers game in June and it was SO FUN! The boys had the best time, and Isabella was a trooper during a long night out past her bed time. I love baseball games, and driving into Arlington which has both the Rangers stadium, Cowboys stadium and Six Flags  near each other, is convenient twenty minutes from our house :)  We had the best dinner there, lots of Texas BBQ, watched the Rangers win, the boys thought it was fun to call out to the venders to order their cotton candy, and Bella enjoyed trying it for the first time. The boys really tried following the game. They got little certificates since it was their first game. It was such a relaxing and fun night under the big Texas sky. Can't wait to go back!

The baseball game was a pre-celebration of Father's Day the next day. Jake is pretty lucky to have his birthday and Father's Day just a month apart because he gets spoiled twice pretty close together. We made him breakfast in bed, let him nap, gave him some homemade gifts, and Isabella and daddy had some dancing time before church :) After church I made him a feast of his favorite dinner menu items along with my gift to him, homemade Snickers pie!
The kids see the moon and stars when daddy is with them. He is the fun one, he tackles, dances, and plays with them. He teaches them, guides them, works so hard for them, and is so patient with them. He makes sure the kids respect me and help me... Likewise, Jake's greatest blessing is fatherhood, he loves all four of his babies so incredibly much. I'm grateful that he is the father of our four angels. He's not perfect, but he's perfect for them :)

I'm lucky to have this guy as my dad! He's been through a lot in the last decade, but he was such a great dad growing up, a hard worker too. Treated my mom so well, he always made sure we respected her. We saw the love he had for her in his actions. Even though he is quiet, those quiet deeds and the quiet way he served us and showed his love means so much to me. He would leave mascara or lipstick on my pillow in high school with a little note saying he thought of me at the store and didn't know if I needed it, and that he loved me. I lost him for several years when he struggled down a very lonely and sad path of addiction. After a lot of hard work, he came back, and he is back to being the dad I knew and such a good grandpa!
