We met Jake over at work later that night where we let the kids play some games and watch the fireworks. I left earlier with the baby and she missed the firework show because she was so tired! I tried keeping her up as late as I could but it didn't get dark here until past 9 pm and she was so fussy. She missed last year too because, well she was four weeks old and slept through them at Grandma's house ;) Next year!

Fourth of July
Our Fourth of July was pretty simple here in Texas, it was kind of lonely with no family, but we still enjoyed it. We went to our city's Independence Day parade in the morning and afterwards we went swimming and played at the water park in the Rec center, then came home and the boys helped me make our traditional fruit dessert pizza. Jake had a work event that night so we went to dinner first at a new BBQ place in town that was SO good, there's one on every corner it seems like so we're trying them out one at a time :) The kids looked so cute in their red, white, and blue clothes. Isabella in that bathing suit of hers makes me melt! The rest of the day was busy for me packing because we left for CA the next morning. Our flight departed at 7 am so we had to wake the kids up sooo early, the next day, not fun!
