Isabella's First Birthday xoxo

Isabella had two birthday parties for her big one year celebration! One in Texas with just our little family on the day of her actual birthday, June 2nd, and the other in CA with my family and friends in July.

The night before her birthday, on June
1st, I couldn't sleep, I couldn't believe that Isabella was turning ONE! I knew after she was born the year would fly by with how much fun I was having with her, and how much busier I would be with three kids to take care of. But, I tried my hardest to cherish each day, take note of each little special moment, and cherish each milestone of hers. I don't know if I'll ever have another girl, so, I tried to make each day special, and, she has been spoiled. :)

When she woke up in the morning we all went in with bunches of pink balloons and we dumped them in her crib. She was so shocked at first, just staring wide eyed at us, then she saw our excitement and started squealing and grabbing the balloons all over her. It was so fun to watch and I always laugh when I watch the video I took of it.
Later in the day we took her to the park, she loves to swing. So we had some fun family time with her there. I decorated in pink of course for my princess and I ordered a rosette cake for smash cake. We all made bets about how we thought Isabel would handle a cake sitting in front of her with no restraint. The boys thought that she would eat it head first with no hands, I thought she would grab handfuls of it, but Jake was right in his guess, she poked her beautiful cake with one finger. So lady like :) she wouldn't eat any of it until I gave her some to try. And then she did all the other things we guessed and wouldn't stop eating it! It was so much fun to watch and we all had a good laugh together while watching her.
After cleaning her up and taking way too many pictures, she opened her presents from us and the grandparents and played with her new toys. We sang her happy birthday, and she loved all the attention. We were so surprised when she blew on her candle, she knew what she was doing! She's such a smart little girl and catches on, and catches up, to her brothers so quickly!
It really was such a special day just with our little family. She's the apple of our eyes and has us all wrapped around her tiny finger!
I can't imagine my life without my sweet girl. Sometimes I think, how did I live all these years before without her sweet smile, contagious laugh, her sweet smell, her little busy body walking all over the place :) I'm so blessed, I love her tremendously, she's one of my greatest and most cherished gifts and I look forward to everyday that I get to watch her grow. She's my dream come true!
