Terrible Two's!

My 2 year old fits this description in every way!
Better than Jonathon ever did.
Jonathon was a great two year old, calm, he would just sit and play toys with me,
not too curious, not out to get me ;)

Caleb, well, he is curious about everything except for when he's asleep.
He sure gives me a run for my money every single day.
He always has to have his hands on something,
discovering, curious, little hands.

Hands that get into my bathroom when I have forgotten to lock the gate or my door,
hands that throw food and drinks when he's done even after trying everything in the book to teach him not to,
hands that love to paint with my mascara or lipstick when he's found my purse,
hands that grab anything breakable and throw it,
hands that get into his diaper and make me feel like I'm at the zoo cleaning up monkey doo all over the place,
hands that "shush" me whenever they please, especially when I try to read or sing when he's not into it,
hands that hit mom, dad, brother out of nowhere to get our reactions,
and adorable hands that "pet" me when he's sorry.

I love how different he is from Jonathon, he intrigues me nonetheless,
some days I wish he could just sit still, for 5 minutes even!
But no, he does not, he is on the go, always.
I wonder what he'll grow up to be... like his daddy I guess,
because he reminds me of Jake in so many ways it's scary,
and his mama told me he was the same way!
Thanks Jake. I am sure he thanks me a lot too for Jonathon,
his passion and stubbornness was (is?) all me :)

Maybe our next one some day will be a perfect 50/50 mixture of us both, how wonderful!!!

Guilty as charged!
I was thinking at this moment, I don't get paid enough for this job :)
Until next time, off to mop and sweep the floor for the tenth time today.

Terrible twos with a BOY, especially ruff! I think my Jake started it at about a year, ALWAYS hitting & throwing. I remember being so scared to send him to nursery, afraid for what he might do to the other children. With Zac it was a little different, I thought we were good. But about the age of two he developed a love to hit and throw too. I am told he is verry good at nursery, so I hope it is just at home that he shows his wild side???

GOOD LUCK with the terrible two boy thing!!!
