Fabulous 5O!!!

My beautiful mother turned the big 5-O on March the 7th! We had a wonderful evening celebrating her!
She got her  hair done, we ate dinner at her favorite restaurant in town called Tahoe Joe's where we ate delicious steaks with my siblings, aunt and uncle and Grandpa Ferguson (moms dad). When she arrived I put on her "Fabulous 50" sash and birthday princess crown and we spoiled her for the rest of the night. After dinner, chatting with all the family and taking pictures we headed back to my parents for dessert and presents. My sister picked out her favorite cake from the best French bakery in town called La Boulangerie. My sister-in-law Talynn made the cutest cupcakes. Before dinner the kids and I set up the party with all Tiffany blue decorations, for a certain reason. My siblings and I got her the most beautiful Tiffany's bracelet for her birthday gift. I want to steal it. It has a big heart on the chain, now she can wear it all the time and when she looks at it will know how much we all love her. She was spoiled by lots of other gifts as well, her students at school always give so many gifts to her, it's so cute! My older brother Chris compiled all of our old family videos and converted the highlights of our growing up years onto a DVD for my mom. What a great gift, she loved it. Jake and I made a video of our kids and of ourselves with messages of how much we love her and a very hilarious blooper reel at the end. :)

I don't think she looks 50 at all, maybe 40. She had a hard time with the fact that she was turning 50, but now she has embraced fabulous 50 like she does with everything in life, she embraces it all, good and bad, and turns it into something fabulous. I admire her so much and have all my life. I am so grateful for her influence in my life these last 26 years. She is my best friend and the greatest example, and I hope to become the woman she is. I can't wait for many more memories to share with her the next 50 years! Love you mama! You are such a light in my life, in my kids' lives and many, many others. You have influenced and touched so many people. You add light, fun, strength and warmth wherever you go! I'm so glad we live close again, it's a dream come true.
