The diagnosis was an acute (quick, one time fracture), non-displaced (bone fragments that maintain normal alignment), oblique fracture (fracture crosses the bone at a 45 degree angle). Jonathon was a little scared of having to get his first xray, because another little girl was in there with him and was screaming her head off. The doctors were very proud of how well Jonathon managed his pain. He got some cool stickers and was able to bring the xray home to show Caleb and I :) Jonathon picked out a blue cast too.
Jake got Jonathon his favorite happy meal and a shake on the way home and for the rest of the day we camped out on the couch and watched movies. He can start walking on his cast tomorrow and will have to keep it on for four weeks! He's been having a hard time sleeping at night, poor little guy, it must be so uncomfortable!
The Summer weather was here yesterday and I felt so bad as he tried to play outside, but he is such a trooper. I'm so glad Heavenly Father made kids so adaptable.
Everyone who comes over gets to sign his cast, he likes this a lot. Thank you to all the visitors who have come and for all of the treats, balloons and cards! Jonathon feels very loved during this hard time.I just can't believe my three year old has a broken leg with a huge cast up to his thigh, it breaks my heart, but it could have been a lot worse, it will heal, the doctor said he had very strong bones and joints, and we are just praying it heals on time for him to start T-Ball in July and enjoy the Summer getting wet!
What's funny is that when I was two I broke my right leg also, I have a picture... I need to find it so I can put it on here too :) We love our little boy and I hope he gets the hang of walking tomorrow!

Oh, poor little boy. Hope you are feeling & sleeping better soon, Jonathon!!!
Poor thing. That's the saddest thing I've ever seen. :( What a trooper though. Every picture he was smiling. Your kids are so adorable.
