Halloween Weekend!

The Halloween weekend was so much fun and pretty low key with it being on a Sunday. Friday night we had Jake's family over for a Halloween party, which we do every year. We had yummy treats like pumpkin bread, bat cupcakes, brownies, hot cocoa and orange frosted rice crispy treats. We played musical chairs, the kids got prizes and then trick-or-treated us at the door. We listened to Halloween music, like our favorite the Monster Mash, and just enjoyed watching the kids play in their cute costumes. Saturday night was the trunk-or-treat at the church building and we decided to go with Jake's family to their ward's so the cousins could be together. I was Cat Woman, the boys Batman, and Jake had a little too much fun with the gross teeth I got him and was a very ugly hill billy guy! The rain stopped for us thank goodness and the kids got lots of candy and hot cocoa. It was fun seeing old friends, that used to be our ward when we were first married. Finally, on Sunday night we just hung out at home and Jonathon was in charge of passing out candy to the neighbors. He loved it! Jake made a yummy dinner then we watched a movie, drank hot cocoa by the fireplace, and ate some of the Halloween candy, all while Jonathon would dart to the door in his Batman costume when the doorbell rang :) Ending the night Jake and I curled up by the fire and watched Charade with Audrey Hepburn (one of my favorite actresses). It's a thriller must see. We had a great Halloween and hope you did too! Jonathon wore his costume all week, all day long, no joke. This morning when he came in our room to get us, he was in his costume, he might wear it until Christmas!!
