Jonathon and I made his teacher a little chalkboard jar filled with hugs and kisses and a valentine just for her. He chose to give his friends in his class Spiderman valentine's with heart suckers. I was glad Jake's schedule was free so that I could run to his class and help with the Valentine's Day party. The kids were so cute and so excited. They passed out their Valentine's, and us mom volunteers brought treats to share. The kids chowed down while doing heart crafts and laughing with each other about who got which Valentine. This will only get more intense as the years go on. I remember receiving Valentine's from special someone's that said, "I like you" "I think you're pretty" "I like your smile" I like your laugh" or "call me" and "hug me" and I would get so excited, especially if it was from a secret admirer. These kids weren't quite there yet, they just enjoyed it all. It was fun being there helping and watching Jonathon. He's growing so fast. He's such a funny kid, very talkative with his friends, very efficient with his work, always trying to make his friends laugh. A lot like his dad, I was pretty shy at that age. The boys and I made my moms sugar cookies the day before. Mixing the ingredients, rolling out the dough, cutting out heart shapes, then frosting them = quite the production as they fight over who gets to do what and taking turns :)
After school Jonathon gave me his special valentine he made for Jake and I. Then he had baseball practice... and then Jake took us out for Valentine's dinner to Red Robin, kids choice, where we had burgers, fries and Oreo milkshakes, mmm. My mom was sick so she had to cancel watching the boys for my date night with Jake. But it was still fun with the little bugs.
I made the Mr. a man basket with his fave's for Valentine's and he surprised me with my new laptop! I'm so excited, I love it. His cards are the best too, they are always perfect for the stage we are at in life, he writes in his nice cursive writing long romantic sweet words and I always think it's not fair his handwriting is better than mine ;)
Baby girl got some outfits from me and Grandma Garduno, so fun! Hope everyone had a happy love day!
So true!
My valentine's!
I die!
