IT'S A GIRL!!!

MY DREAM HAS COME TRUE! We are having a baby GIRL!!! I can hardly stand it! I am in shock. There's a party going on in my head 24/7. I am over the moon with happiness and joy and gratitude! I am most grateful that everything is healthy with my little princess. When the sonographer was checking out all of her anatomy, my mom and Jake were in the room with me, Jake holding my hand tight, it was nerve racking! I wanted to see her hands open, which is a good sign. Ryan's were clenched in fists every ultrasound, which was a bad marker and I would wish in my mind with so much force that he would just open his hands and be okay. My little ballerina kept lifting her right arm over her head and opened her hands as if waving to us, or practicing her arms for fourth position in ballet :)

When the brain, heart, bones, placenta position, umbilical cord, face, hands and feet checked out great, I breathed a HUGE sigh of relief and gratitude. When it came time to tell us the gender we were on pins and needles. Baby girl was rolled up tight in a ball sleeping at this point, the sonographer had a guess but wanted to wake her up to get the full view. So she shook my belly for a while and poked her a bit and she started to move around and relax her legs. The sonographer said she felt confidant now in saying, it's a girl! There was silence, we couldn't believe our ears, the past six years have been all BOY for me. We kept asking her to double check and triple check and even asked the Dr., the radiologists to confirm, which he did easily. That's when it hit us as reality, no one was playing with us. So then we cried, shouted for joy, Jake jumped up and down and my mom cried :) I was so sad the boys couldn't come in for the news, but I understand why. When we walked out to the waiting area I waved the ultrasound pictures around and said, Jonathon you were right, it's a GIRL! He was soooo excited, screaming and jumping up and down and saying, I knew it, I told you, I was right! Caleb was running around excited, not really knowing why of course.

Jake and the kids and I celebrated with my Aunt Julie, my parents, and my brothers, I was so missing my sister in AZ. We had dinner at the best steak house in town called Yosemite Ranch. My mom came prepared either way, and put pink "it's a girl" napkins on our table with pink toy blocks and pink candy mints haha. It was so fun. We are so excited for this new adventure. I've been waiting my whole life for this little girl and I feel so blessed to be carrying her. I cannot wait to meet her! Jake is nervous, he would be fine with his whole basketball team he always said he wanted, but he's such a softy and sensitive and she will have him wrapped around her finger. My mom got us some pink girl clothes already, she's so excited! Jake told me he stood looking at the clothes layed out on the counter for 5 minutes straight, and that he was teary eyed. I can't wait to see him with a baby girl. I think he may be more happy that I get my girl than anything though, I told him if it's a boy again he'd be in trouble ;) The night we found out we both couldn't sleep, in the middle of the night I started looking up girl stuff on my phone and Jake asked if I was awake and I said I couldn't sleep. He said me either, so we just talked about our girl for a while. Get ready honey, let the shopping begin!
