Mother-Son Dance

Last month at Jonathon's school they hosted a mother-son Sadie Hawkins dance. It was so fun to get dressed up and go out on a date with my little boy. We decided on a Michael Jackson theme, with my mom included. She teaches 3rd grade at Dailey Charter and so she was there at the dance also. I'm so glad that the school put this on for mother's and sons because traditionally most dances are father-daughter. Jonathon was embarrassed on the way to the school that night because I kept saying how excited I was to go on a fun date with him . He said, "Mom, we are not holding hands though." I said, "Please!" He was more excited to dance with his buddies and see his teacher then be my date. Oh well! It was fun taking professional pictures before the dance like you do in high school and then dancing for two hours straight with my boy. He wouldn't take a break! By the end of the night I was tired. When Micheal Jackson "Thriller" was played he went crazy and was even called up onto the stage by the DJ to show off his moves. My mom and I were laughing so hard, he had no fear and looked so cute up there. How can my little first born child be that big!? When the slow dances would come on he would always find me, leave his friends, and we would dance. I loved every moment. Hopefully I didn't embarrass him too much in front of his friends when I danced, with my mom, near him ;) Because Dailey Charter is not Fresno Unified, we have regular fundraising events like this one to support the school. After the dance, Jake called and said a Limo he had already payed for, for a big Armenian birthday party held at the Clovis Castle, was done there but still had a couple hours on the clock so he sent it to pick us up. So the boys had their first ride in a limo after the dance, and my mom joined us to grab some Cold stone ice cream and take a spin around town. Great memories ***

He loved dancing with his teacher, on the left, Miss Van Dun too :)
