My pinkie toe on my left foot, and the toe next to it are broken, maybe shattered, thanks to adorable Caleb.
Friday afternoon I was shopping at the grocery store with the boys and .... crunch!
I put a large jar of Adam's all natural peanut butter next to Caleb in the cart, low and behold he could lift the thing and then drop it on my foot as I was wearing sandals :(
It hurt sooooooooo bad, I have never felt pain like that. Well, I guess I have, child birth, but it's a different kind of pain.
I almost blacked out, I usually do when things like that happen. I started seeing black spots and then total blackness started from the corner's of my eyes and I knew it was coming.
I closed my eyes, bowed my head, and said in my mind, please don't faint in Walmart, pleeeeaaase! haha
I didn't, I limped my way to check out while biting my lip the whole time to keep me from screaming out.
Limped to my car and drove home. Jonathon was so worried... Caleb had now clue of course :)
I had to spend the next three days taking care of the boys alone, while limping around the house because Jake was out of town in CA for work related purposes. It was the worst timing!
But... we all got through it and still are. Luckily our friend from church is a Dr. and came over at 10 pm to check on me and confirm that yep, both broken, four weeks to heal., don't let the boys bump them!
We leave for Hawaii in 10 days! I guess that means no running on the beach every morning like I had planned, but I won't let it get me down. My toes should be way better by then, just a little sore the dr. said.
So, enjoy the pictures of my purple, swollen, unmovable, toes ;)
Ouch!!!
To end on a good note, I love this little super hero fanatic! He was such a big help while mommy was down, still is! I love this stage, he's so into super heroes, they are his life!!! It's so darling to me.
