San Francisco

My parents, the boys and I made a quick visit to Pier 39 in San Fransico before we flew out of the San Fran airport that evening. I love San Francisco! It is so beautiful, so historical and there are so many things to do there. We used to go to San Francisco during Christmas time growing up and I remember there was always this huge Christmas tree in Union square. Aw, Union Square, home to serious shoppers, the three or is it four (?) story Macy's, the Cheesecake Factory that over looks the square, which we went to a couple years ago ... such a pretty lookout, and every other high end store you can think of. We musn't forget Ghirardellie square, my mother ship, home to all the chocolate lovers. We decided to stop by Pier 39 for a few hours because it has a lot of fun shops, good food, and a two story merry-go-round Jonathon couldn't wait for!

The best candy shop, full of every kind of salt water taffy flavor imaginable, I love taffy! We had a blast picking out our favorite's in our own little buckets, like: bubble gum, coconut, peppermint, chocolate, pina colada, green apple, vanilla, popcorn, etc!

The look out at the end of the pier, the famous Alcatraz is behind us! We went on a tour of the prison when I was a kid and it is haunting!!
Mom and me!
Proof that Caleb was there on his first visit to San Francisco!
Jonathon riding the zebra on the second level of the merry-go-round, I was behind him on the seal, we had fun!
It was overcast so the famous Golden Gate Bridge behind us is gray looking ;) Such a beautiful sight though. This was Jonathon's second time here, although, he didn't remember it because he was only one last time.
When I saw this store my heart skipped a beat! lol!
Look at all the barrels of chocolate! I had fun in this store and had some awesome treats for the plane ride home!

I'm so glad we made this fun afternoon stop in San Fran, we had a great time with my parents and we can't thank them enough for all they did for us on our trip! We had a little trouble finding the airport, well a lot, we almost missed our flight and pretty much got to see all of San Francisco by the time we found it haha, although, I wouldn't have minded staying in San Fran another day :)
