Oh Christmas Tree...

When we got our Christmas tree it felt like 20 degrees outside and it probably was! Jonathon had a fun time running all around between the trees and going up closely to them to smell them, something I do because I love the smell of Christmas trees! Besides the freezing weather we were able to pick out a beautiful tree.

I am grateful for times like these when I just have to stand by, pick out the best tree, and then Jake does all the hands on work with the tree, lifting it and preparing it to come inside the home, etc. I couldn't imagine doing that on my own, even if I wasn't pregnant.

I decided to do an all white theme for the tree this year like my mom did last year to her tree, in honor of our angel Ryan :) The pregnant belly kept getting poked by the branches when I was hanging up ornaments haha, it was comical. I love ornaments, the sentimental ones, the ones given to me by friends and family, the ones I made as a child, the ones I have gotten from various cities, the ones that Jonathon got as a baby, the ones Jake and I got on our first Christmas together, Ryan's ornaments he got last year, etc. They all have a story.

I will post the final picture of the tree when I get more bublbs and ribbon on it. Last night was so beautiful when we turned off the lights and the tree was all lit up in our home in the front window and glowing, the three of us said "ahhhh" in union. Such a magical time of year.
