Angel Nurse

We had an angel nurse named Megan who was Ryan's most wonderful nurse. Not only was she so loving and supportive, she loved Ryan, and really got to know his little personality too. She created and took the most beautiful pictures of our precious Ryan the four days we had with him. She took over three hundred pictures for us in the most beautiful way. All the pictures we own of Ryan are because of her. She took it upon herself to take as many pictures as she could of the most priceless moments. She suffered with us too, she cried with us, she was the woman who handed us Ryan when he was taken off of the breathing respirator to say good bye, she was the woman who came in to check on us and take pictures of us holding Ryan for the first time, and then she was the first to confirm his passing and hug us both and take pictures of Jonathon touching Ryan for the first time. She entered our lives in our most difficult and painful moments with grace and honor, she captured for us our most precious moments with Ryan. She not only took pictures, but she put together a keepsake box for us of Ryan's hair and took his hands and footprints for us, she also made cute signs for his incubator and gave us all of his blankets and medical items that were used on him, like the thermometer she used, all of his bracelets, etc. We will never forget her!

Last night on abc on the Extreme home makeover show, they re-built a home for a woman who took these kinds of pictures for families who had preemies. She took pictures of babies who made it, and of babies who only lived hours. She, like Megan, entered into a very sacred part of these families lives and did for them something beautiful. Like us, these families will cherish these pictures of their beloved babies forever.
