For fun I had a thought to mention some famous people in our family! On my mother's side, her cousin Lola Van Wagenen (my Grandma's side) married Robert Redford. They had four children but divorced in 1985 I think. So... my third cousins are the Redford's! The Wagenen's have a great conversion story into the church!!My mom grew up in Pebble Beach, CA which is one of the most beautiful places on the coast in the world! She worked at a chiropractors office in her late teens and... to make a long story short, got a kiss from Clint Eastwood one day on the cheek. Clint Eastwood still resides in Carmel, which is a neighboring city.
My Grandma, my mom's mom, is first cousins with former BYU Provo President and General Authority President Merrill J. Bateman. He spoke in Fresno when I was younger and before is speech my whole family and I visited with him in his office. He walked to the pulpit to begin his speech while holding my hand and introduced me. I'll never forget that. I had to go after because my ballet recital was right then, I probably would have stayed attached to his hip :)
Jake's side of the family has a lot of great stories, starting with King Egbert who was the first Saxon King of England. That story goes along with an ancestor on my Grandpa Ferguson's side, if I remember right, became a Knight in England on the spot for protecting the King from a dangerous animal. Family correct me if I'm wrong here :) Jake, when 12 years old, loves to tell me about his memory riding in the elevator with President Faust and chatting a little. Jake's dad had an apartment they rented out in the same complex. The Tracy's were some of the first members of the Church and very close to Joseph Smith. As some of you might know, they were cousins with the Colvin's and the two families shared very hard times together. The Colvin's today are in our ward!
On my dad's side, my great Grandmother Faustina was from Spain and the Garduno's (my maiden name) are originally from Italy. Later they traveled to the America's and became what we know as Native American ancestors. I have Cherokee and Comanche Indian blood. I don't know any famous stories but I'm positive there are many.
Well, I'm sure the list can go on, but these are my favorite. Now your turn!

Sounds like someone's been doing some genealogy. Or is ready to start... I think I'll take your challenge. Although it may be a while before I post any cool stories. I have to find some different ones from Jake's, seeing as we're related and all...
Neat stuff....Did you know David and Amber are expecting a baby girl in April?
Pretty cool families! I don't think my family has many claims to fame, ummmmmm, nope!
Hmmmm... not related to anyone famous!! I did however crash into a fence that is owned by Robert Redford. He owns property in my hometown and, we drove right through his big log fence! Oops.
