Weekend getaway to Carmel Beach

For my moms birthday my mom, aunt Julie and I met up in Carmel for a weekend celebration. This was my first trip alone away from baby Bella! It was a much needed and perfect little trip for this mama to have a break. Jake held down the fort back in Texas and he and the kids had a great time together. I'm so lucky to have such a great partner who is such a great daddy. No labeling, written instructions, calling all the time in worry. He is so capable and willing, he knew what a hard few months it has been for me moving, and was happy to send me off for some rejuvenation. 

I had the best time with two of my favorite women! We ate out at the cutest restaurants, which in Carmel the scenery is set like a storybook fairytale. The weather was beautiful. We relaxed on the beautiful beaches, talked, laughed, and strengthened each other. We stayed at the cutest cottage in the woods and created some hilarious memories in there :) We shopped at some of our favorite places and walked down memory lane as we explored the area. My mom and aunt are lucky to have been raised there! It truly is one of the most beautiful places I've seen! Can't wait to return with the kids this summer!
