They say San Francisco is like a lost love, when it is time to leave you linger, not wanting to go!
I definitely felt this way.
We met up with my long time friend Chelsea and her husband Jed and adorable baby Andrew!
Chelsea and I have been close friends since that one summer at girls camp when I was 12 :)
They now run a business and live in Colorado.
She posted about this trip too and I love what she said.
We have been through so much together (and have lots more to go through too!)
We were best friends through high school, soooo many funny memories there!
We left Fresno for college in UT together and were roomates for two years, up until Jake and I got married.
We've been to each others most special events, from sweet sixteen birthdays and formals to weddings, births and deaths and I cherish all the memories.
I truly feel she is like my sister, the older sister (by one year) I never had :)
I had not seen her for two years!! Whaaaaat? Who does that? She never had met Caleb and I Andrew.
So this reunion in one of the best cities was so sweet.
Chelsea and I have some history in this City by the Bay.
Her sweet grandmother lived near and quite a few times we would visit her and go into the city as well for some fun.
I love San Francisco during the holidays! I remember coming with my family as well and riding the trolly's, staying at the Hilton, shopping in union square, etc. Such good memories.
Some of our favorite places here: Pier 39!
The guys had a great time together too
The Golden Gate Bridge is behind us, hiding in the fog.
Saying hi to the huge sea lions basking in the sun on the docks :)
Two story merry-go-round!
The famous trolly cars, the driver was quite a funny little man...
Caleb.....huh?
Me and my love. Behind is Alcatraz! creepy, I went on a tour of the prison with my family when I was younger and I'll never forget it.
One of our top favorite's: Ghirardelli Square! The ice cream shop is the best and the shops are so dang cute!
Besties. It was so packed everywhere because we went during Thanksgiving break. There was a line to get it, no seats inside, some people were eating their ice cream in the freezing cold outside. No thanks. Good thing we had Jake and Jed to help the situation. They grabbed a table at the same time another group did, but it all worked out..... we shared ;) We enjoyed our hot cocoa and banana splits and milkshakes. The kids dove right in and loooooved it. Anything left in that glass? Nope.
The funniest part was trying to leave. I haven't laughed so hard in a while. One thing I can always count on with Chelsea is a good laugh. When we're together it is always so much fun and we always laugh way too much. (Like in college during church, so sometimes at the wrong moments... and we can't stop). The men left to get the cars and we were left to clean up the boys, there was some crying, double strollers in the air, kids falling, and definitely an audience watching us as we were laughing hysterically trying to do it all.
I miss this little guy! I feel like he is my nephew! He was such a good baby through out the day, except for when he wanted that bottle, but I gave it to him and so he likes me, Aunt Ashley #2 :)
On to our next adventure somewhere special in April! Yes!
