Newport Beach getaway

Jake had work near Newport Beach down in southern California last week and the boys and I decided to keep him company :) It was the best three days, we seriously had a blast. We're so lucky to be only a few hours away from all this goodness! I'll let the pictures do the story telling because I'm a picture freak and took so many! We stayed at the hotel where we stayed for my brother's wedding, totally random and fun. Jake worked everyday we were there and didn't meet up with us until dinner time, but I had the car and the kids and I packed in as much fun as we could. It was wonderful spending this time with them, just the boys with mom! We went to the beach, we ate at the best local places, we went shopping at the cutest shops along the pier, we visited Balboa Island home of the famous Balboa bar (yum), we went to the Zoo, rode on train rides, went on a (Halloween) hot air balloon ride (incredible), went on carousal rides.... and then mom soaked in the hotel hot tub after each fun filled day! It was SO much fun. Who says work can't be mixed with pleasure :)
