Grandma Elaine

I wanted to post my Grandma Elaine's Obituary, which I thought turned out beautiful. I love this picture of her in her younger years, wasn't she beautiful? We miss her.

Elaine was born on October 1, 1926 in Murray, UT and passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 peacefully in her sleep. She was the ninth of ten children. Her parents were Edward and Clara Malstrom. Clara raised Elaine and all of her siblings through the depression alone following the tragic death of Elaine's father, Edward when Elaine was three years of age.
In her earlier years, Elaine was a dynamic woman, holding positions such as: administrative assistant for Continental Bank & Trust while serving in several offices at the bank. She excelled in the lost art of shorthand and was very proud of this talent.
Elaine served in various church leadership positions including: primary president for many years, Relief Society Leader and personal assistant to the Stake Patriarch for three years taking shorthand for Patriarchal Blessings. Elaine's first and only love was her sweetheart, Boyd. They just celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. Her life revolved around her children and she was so proud of each and every one of them. She enjoyed crocheting, tatting, music, art reading and nature.
She is survived by her husband Boyd Earl Ferguson and seven children and their spouses; Janet & Stan Mason, Craig & Jill Ferguson, Diane & Domenic Tringali, Robert & Jill Ferguson, Sharon & Leonardo Gambardella, Linda & Anthony Garduno and Julie & Channing Hitchcock. Elaine is survived by 28 grandchildren; Jessica Price, Robert and Scott Mason, Michael and Matthew Ferguson, Tammy Wardle, Steven, Bryan, David and Rachel Tringali, John, Michelle, Mark and Bradley Ferguson, Erica, Melissa, Nicholas, Andrew, Vincent and Amy Gambardella, Christopher Garduno, Ashley Tracy, Brittany and Alexander Garduno, Jarod, Jordon, Preston and Emily Trebas, as well as 25 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 sisters; Thelma Nelson, Mary Workman, Evelyn Nielson and 1 brother, Alan Malstrom.
Visitation will be held at Farewell Funeral Service on Friday, March 11, 2011 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
A Graveside Service will be held at Clovis Cemetery on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Orchard View Ward, 342 W. Nees, Clovis , CA at 11:00 a.m.
