We love the Fair!

We love the fair! Here in our town, Puyallup, is home of the HUGE Western Washington Fair! I love driving around town, we live up on a hill called South Hill, and I can see the fair down below in action every day. I look forward to this fair every year. I have always loved the fair and went every year growing up to the big Fresno Fair. I couldn't go on any rides this year because they don't allow pregnant ladies on board, but I enjoyed my other most favorite part about the fair, the FOOD! Fair food + pregnant lady = a heavenly day! I was able to have the best corn dog called a krusty pup, yummy chocolate covered strawberries on-a-stick, cotton candy, and elephant ears. Yes I ate all of the above and so did Jonathon! I didn't even get to have the yummy food from the BBQ pit and the amazing scones there! I was too full, Jake and I are going again for a date night when I get back in town so I can enjoy those then hehe :)

When I first went to this fair I had never heard of an "elephant ear" and the whole time leading up to the purchase Jake was convincing me that it was actually a real elephant's ear, that is very popular here in WA and that everyone loves them! I was so sickened, and I was like yeah right! But I still couldn't tell if he was joking or not because I know in Texas they eat gross stuff like pigs feet, pig ears and what not. Anyway, so we get to the booth an I can't tell, then Jake hands me one, they're huge! I was a little leery at first but then the smell consumed me and all I could do was think, mmmmm! It's a huge fried flat pastry shaped almost like an elephant's ear, and it has butter and cinnamon sugar on top. You all have to come here and try it! I have made them at home a couple times, we just love them. I could eat one by myself and so could Jonathon, he couldn't get enough.

I love this picture of the family on the huge slide. Jonathon is with his Uncle Zach clutching for dear life! Jonathon loved all the rides! We went on Monday Madness day and each ride was only 1 ticket! He went on a bunch of rides with his cousins and the look on his face told it all, he was in constant smiles and laughs.

I can't believe my baby is old enough to go on roller coasters! I was freaking out the whole time he was on it, scared out of my mind. This wasn't a little toddler roller coaster, it was rickety and went fast around the corners and up and down! He was so brave, I thought he would be terrified and cry but he didn't.

Wiped out from a long day of fun, he had blue cotton candy stuck to his hands, t-shirt, and car seat when I took this picture. I looked the same when I walked up the stairs to my bed, I was worn out! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Tracy for a fun day!
Jake's sister Karin is in town from Florida and she came with us to the fair. It has been fun spending time with her this past week. I think this pair of brother and sister look a lot a like! Someday we will take a trip to visit her, she lives 20 min. from Florida beaches!

I love the fair too! It's an excuse to eat the worst foods that taste the best! I haven't been this year, I think I probably missed it in Colorado, since I was gone. But I'm glad you guys had fun - you look so cute - and your hair is so long!
