Jake's 27th Birthday

Saturday the day before Jake's Birthday we went fishing for the afternoon and decided to take our nephew's along with us for the fun. Jake taught them how to cast and reel and they loved every moment. The place we found was awesome. It was a farm too, they had every animal you could think of from pigs and horses to baby goats and chicks. They also had a real life boat that was used for the kids to pretend play, water games for kids, pony rides, a camel (?), etc. The boys caught two trout and were very excited! They loved looking at the fishes up close and touching them, words can't describe their faces when saw the fish up close, being their first fishing experience. It was so cute. It was quite the sight seeing Jake relaxing with pole in one hand and jalapeno chips in the other. He says there's nothing more relaxing than that, and that's what we were shooting for, he needs these tlc moments, he's such a hard worker and deserves it.

For the actual day of Jake's birthday on Sunday we had all the family over for a BBQ dinner and ice cream buffet. There was lots of good food and Jake's BBQ was excellent! He had a great time cooking and chatting with his family. For his birthday "cake" I actually made his favorite Snicker's pie and we all sung Happy Birthday and he opened gifts too. It was a great evening.

Us after the party, I look tired, I was a busy bee from a busy weekend trying to make Jake's Birthday weekend special. We have a problem on my side of the family, birthday's are HUGE and we like to drag it out for as many days as possible. My mom is to thank, she made my birthdays all weekend filled with so much fun and celebration doing everything I liked. So I have this deep need to do that with my family members!
