My Princess Baby Girl Shower

Welcome to a royal baby shower at the Clovis Castle!  My baby girl shower was a dream come true. It was everything I imagined it would be. I have dreamed of having a baby girl shower since I was first married, 8 years ago, and it finally came true. Our little princess is definitely worth the wait. I am so thankful for my mom, aunt, sisters, friends and many others that helped put this special occasion together. It was truly a shower fit for a princess. We had about 40 close friends and family come celebrate. There was a lot of pink, a lot of food, desserts, gifts for baby girl, hugs, smiles and laughter. I am grateful there wasn't an event at the Castle that day so we could celebrate all day there.

I envisioned all the decor from hours of looking online, I had a little too much fun ordering all the details. We had the most amazing food cooked by Jake's uncle Tom who is an amazing chef from Seattle and hopefully will join us at the Castle here in CA soon. We had brie and crackers, pastries, an amazing fruit display, tarts, yummy green salad, and some vegetable side dishes. The most beautiful ombre pink, ruffled, three-layer, chocolate cake was made by my good friend Kimmy Sorensen and her mother Sandy Wilcox. They also made the pink princess crown sugar cookie favors that were heavenly.

Pink tulle was ruffled around the dessert table like a tutu. We had a pink candy buffet, pink french macaroons, and a delicious pink punch. Each table had a white tablecloth with pink satin ruffled in the middle, pink roses in vases, and pink little diamonds sprinkled around. Each place setting had water bottles with princess labels and tulle puffs wrapped around them, a sugar cookie favor, silverware, goblets and porcelain plates. In the entryway we had a wish tree where wishes for baby girl were hung.

After my moms opening speech abut the special day that it was, especially since the morning of the shower was the Fresno Angel Babies walk, where we walked (I waddled) in memory of our Ryan, we all ate lunch, chatted, took pictures, then I opened all the wonderful and adorable baby girl gifts. We then cut the cake and had dessert while playing the bubble gum game, which is hilarious to see the creative babies created from pieces of bubblicious! After more chatting and admiring everything we said our good byes. It was such a fun and wonderful day I will remember always and I'm so glad everyone made the trip up. I remember being 8 years old and helping my mom with my Aunt Julie's baby girl shower, after she had three boys as well, and loving everything about it, hoping to have one for myself one day. Twenty years later I did!

I'm almost 35 weeks, just a few more to go until we can finally meet our princess! Her ballerina nursery is coming along. Thank you to everyone who came to my shower, who helped set up, clean up, and to all of you who love us and this baby girl too. It was so good to see so many dear friends and family, especially my sister who flew in to surprise me from AZ during the middle of her finals! Baby girl and I feel so loved! A big shout out to my husband as well who worked so hard behind the scenes, we had a prom at the Castle the night before the shower and he stayed up until 4 am taking down, cleaning up and then setting up for my shower! Love that man!
