My 27th Birthday!

I had the best birthday celebration! 27 feels really good! For some reason turning 27 felt better than turning 26? Maybe I'm accepting the fact that I'm close to the big 3-0. No, I definitely don't want to ever be 30 so maybe I'm just glad I am still young and in my 20's ;)

Jake has been working like a mad man since the opening of our business in March and basically he knew I needed a little getaway, just the two of us, to re-group for my birthday. The first weekend in October was his only free weekend so Grandma and Grandpa watched the boys (which we are SO grateful for!) and we hit the road!

Jake pulled up in this convertible to take me away to the beach, such a fun surprise! Driving around in it all weekend on the coast we felt like a couple of teenagers :) So carefree, just having fun.Somethings we definitely needed in our systems.
Home of the wine country as we drove into Pismo Beach, absolutely gorgeous. I felt as if I was in Italy, but I was just in my backyard :)
We stayed at the most gorgeous resort that I have ever been to in my life. I felt so spoiled! Our room was a two bedroom, two bathroom suite, with a fireplace, full size kitchen, and balcony that overlooked the ocean. I could have stayed in that room forever.
This was my first view when entering the lobby, we had some fun late night swimming in the infinity pool and spa. So relaxing. Beforehand however we ate at a wonderful restaurant by the ocean and watched the sunset. We celebrated my birthday with our favorites, filet mignon for me and Jake had scallops and tuna. We ate like kings all weekend. It was fun.
My strawberry daiquiri, yum, my favorite!
Our second day we toured Hearst Castle. Jake and I were blown away. The pictures speak for themselves but we spent all day up there. It was heaven on earth, really the most beautiful place I have ever been. Jake and I were going crazy with ideas for future landscape, architecture, etc. for our business. I couldn't believe I had never been here and it's only two hours away from Fresno. Mr. Hearst had wonderful dreams and visions he made come true and he shared it with the world. Very inspiring man and legacy. I want to live there! This home above is my ultimate dream home, with views of the ocean!
We loved the sculptures, art, ponds, pools and gardens! So magical.
Our feet :) Relaxing by the Neptune pools, it felt like we were in Greece.
Inside of the main castle. A-m-a-z-i-n-g! We had the best day up there, it really was something we'll never forget. Driving up to and back from the castle was fun in itself too as we drove on highway 1 all along the CA coastline. So beautiful. If you haven't read about Hearst Castle, Google it! There were wild zebras walking along the grounds!

The next morning we had breakfast brought to our room and boy was it delicious! It was the most peaceful and beautiful morning I've ever had. Just perfect. Beautiful weather, we ate outside on the balcony watching the waves, I ordered banana pancakes and Jake had french toast. Jake played the banana pancakes song by Jack Johnson on his phone while I ate, we thought it was pretty cool and pretty silly. Perfect morning. We sat there for a few hours.

More pictures of Hearst Castle...
Loved this balcony...
Jake day dreaming.... :) I love that he has so many dreams and that he lives each day working towards his. He has made so many of my dreams come true.

Our new home, welcome to the Tracy's.
I wanted to swim in there so badly....

We also went to the movies one night, hung out at the beach, and shopped at the outlets where I got my very first pink Coach purse :)
Back home this past weekend we celebrated my real birthday with dinner with the family at Edo-ya. I have been going to this Japanese restaurant since I was like 8.

Presents and my favorite dinner and desserts with my family was the perfect end to a great birthday celebration! I'm so grateful for my life, and for all of my family and friends who make it joyful.
It's going to be a great year! xoxoxo
