America's Got Talent!

Last night Jake and I went on a date night to the live taping of America's Got Talent in Seattle.
It was sooooo fun! I have never been to the live taping of a popular show before and it was fascinating!
The audience plays a big part in the show, and we were like a fourth judge.
On que we had to clap real loud, stand up and cheer.
We were told if we liked a certain performance we should shout, "vegas, vegas, vegas!"
If we didn't like a performance we were told to cross our arms like an X and "boo!" haha
It was fun! There were some really great performances, we have lots of talented people here in Seattle.
The majority were passed through the competition to Vegas for the finals.
The judges were hilarious. We sat several rows behind Howie Mandel, Sharon Osborne and Piers Morgan,
Nick Cannon opened up the show and appeared a couple times during the taping. He's a funny guy.
After each performance when the camera's stopped rolling, make up artist would run up to the judges for touch ups, and a water boy, as I called him, would run up and serve the judges there preferred drinks.
Then the producer would say, 5, 4, 3 ,2 1 applaud! And another talent would come out.
They taped certain segments over again and at one part they told the audience to yawn, the camera was right on Jake and he did the hugest yawn ever, we'll see if that attractiveness is on the show when it airs haha.
I'm so glad we were able to go, we went for the Tears Foundation, the foundation was paid $5 for every person that came with the Tears group. Sarah, the founder, is always finding creative ways to earn funds, and we are so grateful for that. Tears helped us with Ryan's memorial and so we always try and support them, plus I'm always trying to plan fun date nights for Jake and I, especially now that life is very busy for him and we don't see each other very much these days.

On a side note, funny story.
So one summer, when I was 15 I think, my family and I drove to LA, I don't remember if it was just for fun or what. But we decided to take the Hollywood homes tour, you pay for a map that takes you to a lot of stars homes. When we found the Osborne mansion, my dad parked our big blue Astro van in front of it. (I miss that van, it was my moms and we had it forever. On the back the license plate read, Gard van. My maiden name is Garduno. haha) Anyway, as we sat there trying to see if we could see anyone, a guy pulls up, enters a code on the gate in front of the house, and it opens. My dad rolls downs his window and says, "Are the Osborne's home?" The other guy just smiled and walked in. Then my dad yells, "Tell the Osborne's, it's the Garduno's versus the Osborne's!" We were all laughing inside the van. At that time the Osborne's had a reality show. They had a crazy family and so did we. Such a funny memory. We always joke about it now. So last night I text my parents and said I was feet away from Sharon Osborne and my dad wanted me to ask her if Ozzy, her husband, wanted to meet my dad. Funny stuff.

I don't know when the show airs, I'll find out and post it, but I'll be interested to see if we are in the background :)
