Happy New Year 2010!

Happy New Year everyone! We had a wonderful night welcoming the new year. Jake and I went out to eat at the Olive Garden, one of my top favorite's and enjoyed a wonderful dinner and dessert. We got the best seats in the house, right by the fireplace. It was so nice all cozy by the romantic fire, eating Italian food, sipping on strawberry daiquiris, eating chocolate cake, talking away about our resolutions for the year 2010. After we ate we went and saw a great movie. Jonathon partied at home with his cousins and Aunt Joy! They had a sleep over at our house and Jonathon just had a blast. When we came home I took a picture of them all cuddled on the couch watching a show, with hot cocoa around their lips. It was too cute! Jonathon went to bed late, 11 pm! I can't believe he lasted that long, myself included! Couldn't miss out on the new year's kiss at the strike of twelve with my Jake! I think we fell asleep about 5 minutes after haha. Bedtime for me during pregnancy is 10pm :)

2009 Reflections:
This past year has been a year of healing for our family, which has been wonderful. It has been a year of surprises, bumps in the road, joy, happiness, sorrow, and peace. 2009 brought on the sadness of a miscarriage at the beginning of the year, then the joy of becoming pregnant again, having everything go smoothly, and finding out it was another boy! The summer brought fun vacations swimming at Grandma's in Fresno and going to Disneyland. The summer also brought the ending of Jake's job that he has had at the family business for five years, which wasn't anticipated, and there were financial hardships with that. Then we were blessed very soon with a great job that Jake enjoys now and that he has a lot of potential in. The fall brought on much sorrow as Jake's beautiful and wonderful cousin Ashleigh passed away from cancer at age 28, leaving behind her four adorable children and dear husband. This came very suddenly and was very devastating to Jake's family. At the end of the year more joys came along as we celebrated my Aunt Julie's marriage to her sweetheart in CA and spent Thanksgiving in CA as well with my family. This year came to a very peaceful close as we celebrated Christmas here at home and we are filled with much anticipation as our baby boy is due soon!

2010 Resolutions:
Baby boy could be due this month!!! Ah! I can't wait. This is going to be a wonderful year raising our newborn. That first year of life is so busy and time consuming and a lot of work and I am so ready and prepared for that. That is my goal this year, to take care of my boys and be a great mom! I also want to get back in shape, after the baby comes, our family is going to work on our fitness and healthy eating habits this year, along with becoming a more self reliant family! My final goal, don't want to make too many with a baby in tow, is to work on my donations in honor of Ryan that will be going to Africa with my nursing friends at UWMC in Seattle. They go yearly every September and by that time I want to have as much as possible to give to them so that they can bring the donations with them to the babies and families in Africa. So get ready people to help! 2010 is going to be an amazing year, I will be in heaven with my baby all year, enjoying each second. We hope 2010 brings much happiness and success to your families as well!
