Father's Day was a happy day. Jonathon woke up with a fever though and was very lethargic in the morning as I was getting Jake's gifts and breakfast ready while he slept in. After Jonathon's long afternoon nap he was more himself and his fever went down. Jonathon loves his daddy so much, he sees stars when Jake walks into the room or comes home from work. When Jake teaches Jonathon something, it will stick in Jonathon's mind and he will learn to do it, and he'll do it all day everyday. First it was the love for basketball, which they both share and do a lot. I love watching them play together, roll around on the floor, wrestle, laugh, etc. There's nothing that can make me more happy! I am lucky to have a husband like Jake and I knew from the time we started dating what an amazing daddy he would be. Below is a picture of Jake and Jonathon posing in front of the candy gram we made for him.

Jake posing with his new love, snicker's pie! I recently got the recipe from Paula Deen's Dessert cook book, it's the second time I've made it and we both are in love! I love Paula :)
Jake's Father's day gift, a beautiful painting of Joseph playing with his three sons. I thought this was very sentimental and looked like Jake and our soon-to-be two boys! Jake told me a story I thought was so neat, I don't remember details but one of the apostles at the time came to Joseph in concern about his playful behavior saying that it wasn't the way a Prophet of the Lord should behave. Joseph responded by asking him, when shooting an arrow is your bow always pulled back tight, and the man said no because it would break. Great lesson taught. :)
